4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your move, you must notify Melrose FL Movers at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled move date. Failure to cancel within this time frame may result in a cancellation fee.
- Rescheduling: You can reschedule your move, subject to availability. Please inform us at least 48 hours before the scheduled moving date if you need to reschedule.
5. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information regarding the items to be moved.
- Ensuring that items are packed and ready to be moved by the agreed-upon time.
- Ensuring that all belongings are properly packed for transportation, especially fragile items.
- Ensuring that the moving path is clear and accessible.
- Paying for all services in full, including any extra charges for unforeseen issues such as additional labor or extended moving time.
6. Restrictions and Prohibited Items
We do not transport certain items, including but not limited to:
- Flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials.
- Perishable goods (unless prior arrangements have been made).
- Illegal items or substances.
- Animals or pets (unless specified in advance and agreed upon).
- Valuables such as jewelry, currency, or important documents. We recommend that you personally transport these items.
Please inform us in advance if you have any special items (e.g., large furniture, fragile goods) that require special handling.
7. Liability and Insurance
- Liability: Melrose FL Movers takes great care with your belongings. However, we are not liable for damages resulting from improper packing, natural wear and tear, or acts of God (e.g., storms, fires).
- Insurance: We offer moving insurance to protect your items during transport. The standard liability coverage is included in the cost of the move, but additional insurance options are available. Customers are encouraged to check with their insurance providers to ensure adequate coverage.
- Damages: In the event that an item is damaged during the move, Melrose FL Movers will assess the damage and offer a remedy based on the terms of our insurance policy. Claims for damages must be filed within 24 hours after delivery.
8. Delivery and Delays
- Delivery Time: We will provide an estimated delivery date for your move. However, due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, weather, or mechanical issues), delays may occur. While we will do our best to adhere to the estimated schedule, we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time.
- Delays: Melrose FL Movers is not responsible for delays caused by factors outside of our control, including but not limited to weather, road closures, traffic accidents, or emergencies.
